A Quick Lesson on Antler Chew Density

If you are buying antler chews exclusively based on their length, you are doing it wrong.

Density refers to how compact the marrow is, and most importantly, how thick the outer bone layer surrounding the antler is.

The durable outer layer is what your dog is trying to gnaw past to get that mineral rich tasty marrow. The thicker the outer antler ‘ring’, the longer lasting the chew.

The perk to lower density chews is easy access to marrow, and a chew that is mostly comprised of marrow. Great for light or medium chewers that may get bored or picky with other chews.

Now based on what you have learned, which image in the photo is highest density?
